I wanted to provide definitions for these two words, because often times people get them mixed up. Although they're similar in some sense, they are 2 nouns with very different connotations. I am a fair believer in all human, animal, plant, & Earth rights in general, & I believe that one group shouldn't have more power than others.
I also think privileges are entitled to exist in society as well, seen as they don't discriminate against religion, sex, color, etc. But they are created for those in power while being mostly overlooked, and those in power use "race"(we learned the word "race" doesnt have a biological context to it as it precepts, therefore it's a bogus word) & class as means to divide people up from time to time.
One example that stuck out to me was the union/company situation from The Killing Floor. The meat packing company pays the workers low wages with less than 8 hour days. The workers demand change from the company or else they will strike, ultimately landing in a strike. In many events throughout the movie, the company uses race as a way to segregate black & white workers in the union. Since everybody who works there is mostly immigrants, they can't use class as an acrimony.
Events like the Chicago Race Riots of 1919 only fueled this battle longer.

WOW!!! Frank this is some very thoughtful reflection. I am really impressed. And I love the historic poster you included! Where did you find that. Great stuff.
