It's everywhere.
All around us.
It's in our food, air, clothes, natural resources.
Everything has the blood of the oppressed stained on it.
Then they wonder why we drink, do drugs, and fight.
The only problem is, the oppressors are producing the things we oppress ourselves with.
We're caught up in our own self-oppression.
Justifying monstrosities as moral when we witness them due to what we're personally going through.
Whoever had this laid out thought about it for a long time also.
How to keep us poor, working for the minimum.
'Cause to them that's us, the minimal.
We deserve the minimum amount of money for this maximum work.
Then they're handing out mandatory minimums & sending non-violent offenders to maximum.
People like us were never meant to live our lives the way we want let alone survive.
I listen to 2Pac to get over it and identify with a fellow human being going through the struggle.
I'm not saying I got it hard, but why dont you buy some of this hard I got?
See, I want to get out of here, yet I see no hope in the future, so I unmotivatedly sit back & let time whither past me.
It's(the system) set up like a life or death game from the movie Saw.
See, you've got all these factors piling up against you, like where your next meal or buck will come from.
Shit like that makes you think, sometimes overthink, and we all know when you overthink you stress.
It's not a good feeling to not even want to wake up because your scheduled for an 8-hour shift at a meat packing company that offers no breaks.
Not being able to speak out because you don't have papers and fear you'll get deported if you stand up.
Just think about this real quick guys.
The next time you see somebody down on their luck, help them.
In any way you can.
Karma.
